The rules of baccarat at Yokohama Casino / How to

Baccarat is basically a game with two choices based on whether the player or banker (dealer) wins, so it does have a gambling element and the rules of the game are like a foreign version of the Traditional Japanese game oicho-kabu.

The winner of this game is the side that ends with the closest number to 9 based on the total of the last digits of the cards dealt so if the number is closer to 0, then that is weaker.

Also, for counting numbers, just count from 1(ace) to 9 as the numbers are and 10, J, Q and K are counted with the same value of 0.

The game progression of baccarat at Yokohama Casino

1. Bet chips

Put the chips down in the betting area of the baccarat table when the dealer says to.

The area you can bet on is divided into three bet spaces such as the banker wins area, player wins area and the draw (tie) area. Also, there is an area called the pair bet where you bet on the same numbers of the first two cards dealt.

2. The cards are dealt

When the dealer says “No more bets“, the betting time finishes and two cards will be dealt to the player side and banker side.

After that, the player side’s cards will be opened first and the banker side’s next, if the total number of the two cards is 8 or 9 then this side is the winner (called a natural).

At the same time, if the number is anything apart from this, then a third card will be dealt as the rule of baccarat.

3. Game result

The winning player gets twice the amount they bet back, but depending on the table, 5% of the win amount may be charged as a fee. (so, in that case, it’s not twice the amount..)

Also, if it is a draw, then whatever you bet is returned to you and if your bet was on a draw (tie), then you get nine times what you bet as a return.

Or, if your bet was on a pair bet, then the return will be 12 times what you bet.
