Yokohama Casino Hotel IR Resort Information

Budget and currency at the Yokohama Casino (Yen/Dollar/Bitcoin)

Contents

1. Budget for the casino

One’s budget to spend at the Yokohama Casino per day for playing games really depends on the player for anything other than the shopping mall and restaurants in the resort.

For example, those who are not used to casino games may spend several 1,000 yen to 10,000 yen for a game per call, but some who go to casinos overseas may spend several 10,000 yen to several 100,000 yen per bet, also with high limit floors and VIP rooms, users may spend a million yen or more.

Also, the budget for playing is normally bought using cash or credit card, but credit cards can be easily spent as you can make the payment revolving, so we recommend you to bring cash.

This is very old research, but according to an investigation carried out in the 1990s called ‘the monthly average spend at the casino for gambling addicted players’, the data is about 70,000 to 80,000 yen per person monthly.

Whether it’s true or not as we may be unsure about the source of the data, it may be a good idea to take it as a reference.

2. Available currency at the casino

At Yokohama Casino, Japanese yen will probably be the main currency for playing video slots, baccarat, blackjack, poker, craps and Sic Bo (large/small).

For video slots, there will be a digital table and live streaming games, it’ll be like inserting Japanese yen directly into a slot machine, and for regular table games, it’ll be like changing cash into game chips at an exchange counter (if exchanging a small amount, it probably can be changed at the table with the dealer) and then you can play.

* In terms of video slots, you’ll get the amount printed on a ticket called a voucher which comes out from the slot machine after your the first play, so you get to play using the voucher from the second play.

Also, anyone with American dollars, Euro, Korean won or Chinese yuan can most likely go to the cashier in the casino and exchange this into Japanese yen.

At the same time, just like Las Vegas and Macau, it is also possible that ATMs with the capability to withdraw cash by credit card and purchase Japanese yen by cryptocurrency like Bitcoin will be available.
